A different kind of leader
“I was born and raised in New Orleans, by a single mother. I was fortunate enough to attend Jesuit High School, graduating summa cum laude in 1991. I went on to earn my B.A. in Classical Latin from Harvard College where I served as Student Body Vice-President and graduated magna cum laude. And, I received my Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College (Distinguished Graduate).I also had the honor of serving our country for 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served five tours-of-duty in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Iraq and then retired as a Lt. Colonel.
I’ve spent my entire career in public service. It has often been said that the mission of the Marine Corps is “to make Marines, win battles and return quality citizens to our nation.” When it was time to retire from the Marine Corps, I had no doubt that I would return home to raise my 6-year old son, Brandon, Jr., and continue to serve my City with honor, courage and commitment. I pledge to uphold these naval core values as your next State Senator for District 3.”
